Come and learn the basics vegetable gardening at the Wilmington Public Library on Saturday May 7th. This class will be taught by the Clinton County Extension office, and provide you with a chance get free seeds to plant your very own Ohio Victory Garden! The free seeds include cucumber, sunflower, carrots, and lettuce.
You will learn the following about starting your own garden:
- The advantages of growing your own vegetables.
- How to get started with soil prep,crop rotation, and dealing with pests and diseases.
- Starting seeds, transplanting, and crop selection.
- Garden construction techniques and strategies for watering.
